UPSC Eligibility Criteria:-
To be eligible for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE), a candidate must meet the following criteria:
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan.
Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year in which he/she is appearing for the exam. The upper age limit for the exam is 32 years for general category candidates, 35 years for OBC candidates, and 37 years for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a degree from a recognized university in any discipline.
Number of Attempts: A general category candidate can attempt the UPSC CSE six times, OBC candidates can attempt it nine times, and candidates belonging to the SC/ST category can attempt it an unlimited number of times.
Other conditions: The candidate should not be debarred by the Union Public Service Commission or any other Recruiting Agency.
