SHORT INFORMATION:-

NDA (National Defence Academy) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). It is a national level entrance exam held twice a year (usually in April and September). The eligibility criteria include being an Indian Citizen, unmarried male and have completed 10+2 or equivalent education with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects. The selection process involves a written exam followed by SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview and medical examination. The written exam consists of two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test.

EXAM PATTERN:-

The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam pattern in India consists of two stages:

1. Written Exam: It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and consists of two papers, each of 2.5 hours duration:

Mathematics (300 marks)

General Ability Test (600 marks)

2. SSB Interview: The candidates who clear the written exam are then called for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which lasts for 5-6 days and assesses a candidate's leadership potential, communication skills, and other personal traits.

The final selection to the NDA is based on the candidate's performance in both the written exam and the SSB interview. The written exam is held twice a year, typically in April and September.
